This is the work.
This is Ubuntu.
Basketball, life skills, and the philosophy of Ubuntu — delivered on the ground in Harare and Cape Town, every single day.
It starts on
the court. It doesn't
end there.
Hoops 4 Hope has been on the ground in underserved communities in Harare and Cape Town since 1995. We use basketball as the entry point — and our Skills 4 Life curriculum as the vehicle for lasting change.
Every session is structured around the 7 Tools of an Ubuntu Champion. That curriculum has been adopted by Jr. NBA Africa and is now used in 15+ countries. It works because it meets young people where they are — on the court.
30+ years. 10+

The 7 Tools of an Ubuntu Champion aren't just values — they're practiced. In every drill. In every post-game circle. In every conversation with a coach. 97% of H4H participants agreed that being the best teammate matters more than being the best player.

Beyond the daily sessions, H4H extends its reach through partnerships, platforms, and projects that amplify the work on the ground.
